We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated FRS Training Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training and support to the training team and other personnel.
Location: MCAS Cherry Point, Havelock, NC
Responsibilities:
Training Delivery: Conduct classroom instruction, simulator training, and practical flight exercises to prepare personnel for operational fleet squadron assignments.
Curriculum Development: Assist in the development and refinement of training curriculum and course materials to ensure alignment with USMC aviation requirements and objectives.
Flight Instruction: Provide one-on-one flight instruction and mentorship to new Marine Corps aviators, focusing on aircraft handling, mission planning, tactical procedures, and emergency response.
Performance Evaluation: Assess aviator performance and proficiency through written exams, practical evaluations, and simulated exercises, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
Resource Management: Coordinate training schedules, aircraft availability, and other resources to optimize training efficiency and ensure timely completion of training milestones.
Safety Oversight: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and aviation regulations to maintain a safe training environment for all personnel.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, aviator progress, and instructor qualifications, and prepare reports as required by USMC regulations and internal stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in training methodologies, equipment, and procedures to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications:
BA/BS from accredited college or university in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of Training Management experience
No less than 3 years’ experience as permanent personnel at a USMC Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) or USMC Fleet Replacement Detachment (FRD).
Prior USMC winged aviator with at least one (1) of the following Military Occupational Specialty codes: 7315, 7318, 7509, 7511, 7513, 7516, 7518, 7523, 7531, 7543, 7556, 7560, 7562, 7563, 7564, 7565 or 7566.
Center for Learning and Faculty Development, Design Learning Experiences Course (DLEX) Course Identification (CID) M03KHXA, M03KHX1 or M03KHXM completion or ability to attend.
Center for Learning and Faculty Development, Formal School Manager’s Course (FSMC) CID M03M51A, M10M511 or M03M51M completion or ability to attend.
Possess extensive knowledge of the FRS enterprise system, UAS operations and aircrew training.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to Marine Corps aviators.
Proven leadership ability and sound decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Willingness to travel occasionally for training assignments and engagements.
