Essential Job Related Responsibilities Performs Clinical Responsibilities- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by physician.
Assists in implementing Health Care Plans as needed Assists with Medical Recordkeeping- Records all pertinent medical information of service users on a daily and/or hourly basis in the respective medical chart.
Writes monthly and/or quarterly nursing progress notes and other medical record of the service user per policy, ensuring completion in a timely manner, as needed Assists Department Staff with Various Tasks- On 24 hour call for disaster, serious accidents, or illnesses, and death of service user.
Conducts routine rounds of all units with physicians as needed.
Assists with Service Operations- Discusses acute and chronic health needs with personnel, observes service user’s condition and reaction, keeping RN informed of service users condition.
Monitors service user’s needs/conditions and ensures appropriate action is taken.
Assists in the monitoring of service users behavioral problems and be prepared to discuss the problems with team members Assists with Health and Safety Procedures- Provides for the ultimate safety and well being of all service users under his/her care.
Ensures control of drugs, equipment, and supplies, through reviews and supervision of medication practices, as approved.
Participates in parent conference and communicating with families as needed.
Performs LPN Responsibilities- Participates in the Quality Assurance Assessment system; Mealtime Assessment, Environmental Assessment; Interaction Assessment and Third Shift Assessment as instructed.
Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team as needed, ensuring quality-nursing services.
