Production Supervisor III - Cooking New Bern, NC / Full-time Your responsibilities Supervise production hourly or indirect associates in the Cooking Assembly departments to meet the production schedule, and ensure that product produced conform to required specifications.
· Maintain safe working conditions.
· Develop, mentor and coordinate training for associates.
· Assist in the preparation of "Operator Instructions.
" · Assist in the preparation of methods to assure work pieces conform to specifications.
· Assist team leaders assign associates to work stations daily.
· Assist in preparing production schedules and budgets.
· Perform process confirmations daily.
· Lead in problem-solving activities to resolve safety, productivity, quality concerns within a process.
· Understands technical aspects of assigned area, transfer and provide technical guidance on issues.
· Spearhead "Continuous Improvement Process.
” · Reviews work orders, production specification, technical instructions, facility requirements, tool requisition, equipment, and supplies for section.
· Monitor and communicate production KPIs.
· Responsible for GEMBA meetings.
· Implement and maintain 5S standards.
· Ability to manage minor conflict resolution and seek assistance for complex situations.
· Ability to manage the progressive disciplinary process.
· Responsible for the coordination and supervision of employees in a production manufacturing unit · Manage current production environment as well as multiple production areas.
· Responsible for one or more shifts or area of the plant, if/as required.
· Continuous improvement to process quality measures.
· Lead and improve production KPIs.
· Communicate/escalate up to production managers.
· Initiate and participate in cost driven projects.
· Participate and lead in layout changes and 5S workshops.
· Ability to handle complex conflict resolution.
· Ability to evaluate team members and providing development plans to improve job performance and/or behavior concerns.
· Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback for/from all levels of the organization.
· Ability to understand site production strategies and development action plans to achieve KPI targets.
· Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team leaders and other supervisors.
· Have awareness of and participate in TCR activities and investigations.
· Drive other areas to improve business impact.
· Recommend and lead cost driven projects.
· Have impact on budgeting, controlling, costs, planning, scheduling, and procedural change.
· Direct 5S improvement concepts.
· Ability to assume Group Leader's responsibilities as needed.
· Lead projects related to TCR activities.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Your profile · Associate degree (Technical Degree) – Required · Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Technical Degree) – Preferred · 7-10 Years of Experience (Manufacturing or similar environment experience) – Required · 5-7 Years of Experience (People Manager Experience) – Required · Advanced computer skills including ERP systems, MS suite (e.
g.
, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
) · Advanced analytical skills · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Manufacturing background · Advanced knowledge of statistical reporting and processing monitoring techniques.
· Black Belt Six Sigma Certified or equivalent preferred · Computer spread sheet, word processing, telephone, calipers and height gage Your Pay & Benefits The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title.
Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location.
If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
