Job Summary
As an entry-level laborer helper, you will work closely with experienced crew members to assist in various tasks related to excavation, drainage pipe installation, land leveling, grading, and land clearing.
This role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction and excavation field, develop valuable skills, and contribute to the completion of successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist skilled crew members in excavation and construction projects, including drainage pipe installation, land leveling, grading, and land clearing.
Operate hand and power tools under the guidance of experienced team members.
Dig trenches, ditches, and holes for pipes, utilities, and foundations.
Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools.
Help prepare and maintain the job site by cleaning debris, removing obstacles, and ensuring a safe and organized environment.
Mix and pour concrete, asphalt, or other construction materials as directed.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of drainage systems and related infrastructure.
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
Adapt to changing job requirements and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Willingness to work outdoors and in physically demanding environments.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced crew members.
Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety regulations.
Reliable transportation to job sites.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
Prior experience in construction or excavation is advantageous but not required.
