SUMMARY
The Yacht/Powerboat Designer – Production Engineer shall be responsible for planning, designing, development of custom recreational powerboats product line from concept to final configuration, as well as developing Production processes to streamline semi-custom builds.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce drawings for Custom projects.
Oversee and provide guidance for custom projects
Work with Vendors as required
Assist in the production and maintenance of build books.
Assist in the production of owner’s manuals
Assist with new model development and creation of updated drawings/engineering change requests
Assist with NMMA requirements
Cross function support as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Yacht design or industrial design and 5 years equivalent experience
Ability to crate CAD Drawings with Rhino
Good communication skills
Ability to create detail cabinetry drawings
Experience with Laminate design or drawings a plus
Proficient with NMMA / ABYC guidelines
EXPERIENCE and ATTRIBUTES:
Must be highly motivated, well organized, an excellent problem solver and decision maker.
Well-developed communication skills.
PC proficiency with demonstrated knowledge of MS Office software.
Willing to work more than 40 hours per week as necessary to the complete the job.
